Wilsic Road Day Nursery

I cannot recommend Wilsic Road Nursery enough. As parents of children with allergies, putting our children in a nursery was a scary prospect for us. However, 2 years ago we had to take that step and we are so glad that we choose Wilsic Road. All of the staff are genuinely kind and caring and nothing is too much for them. They have always gone out of their way to ensure foods are safe for our children whilst including them in meal times. Both of our children are thriving at Wilsic Road Nursery and both are always excited about going on a Monday morning. Sue and all of the staff provide a safe, welcoming and nurturing environment for the children and you can tell that everyone cares about our children’s development as much as we do. I am often complimented on my children’s behaviour and their abilities when we are out, and I have to give credit to Wilsic Road for the hard work that they do to ensure our values continue to be encouraged throughout the day.

Lenny was 1 year old when he joined Wilsic Road and will leave in a few months time.  The transformation from a baby into a little man has been wonderful to watch.  Wilsic Road has had a huge part to play in how Lenny has progressed.  The friendships he has made, the trips he has been on, help from staff with weaning to potty training have all been invaluable.  I see Wilsic Road as an extension of my family.  Lenny has thoroughly enjoyed his time here and will be sad to leave but Wilsic Road has given Lenny all the foundations he needs to start his next journey in life.  All that’s left to say is Thank you to Sue and the staff.

I've had 2 children attend Wilsic road nursery. My first Jacob started when he was about 13months old, after searching round many nurseries and Jacob being glued to my side we went for a look round Wilsic and he was immediately off. Straight away I knew this was the nursery for us, it was by far the best decision I made. Jacob loved every second he was there and wanted to go on days he wasn't in. He made great friendships and relationships with all the staff, the care is second to non and gave me confidence to place my 2nd child here so at about 7month old Joshua started Wilsic road nursery. Both my boys have cows milk protein intolerance so it wasn't easy to say the least but sue made sure they were catered for at no extra cost and staff made sure they didn't eat anything that would make them ill. What they offer as a nursery is brilliant from activities within nursery to trips out round the village, days out, theatre trips, mini kicks the list can go on. Everyone has been absolutely fantastic and I will be sad when Joshua leaves in the coming months ready for school. Wilsic nursery was the safety net for my boys while I wasn't there and I honestly can't thank them enough.

Both my girls have attended Wilsic Road Day nursery and I am so very sad that in a few weeks my youngest will be moving on to “big School” . I cannot thank all the lovely girls and Sue enough for everything they have done for us over the years, they really have been like part of our family and I wouldn’t have been able to go off to work leaving my children in any better care. I never hesitate in recommending Wilsic Road Day Nursery to any parent on the look for nursery care. Thank you all ....Emma

I cannot recommend Wilsic Road Nursery highly enough. The staff make the nursery a welcoming and inclusive environment for all the children. They quickly develop bonds with the children and parents to maintain a highly effective relationship.

Activity plans are shared with me so that I can prepare, support and encourage my son from home through nursery week by week.

The staff are wonderful, I feel they are caring, empathetic, proactive and reflective towards my son's care and through this my son is very happy there and never wants to come home which satisfies my natural worries as a mother.

They support and challenge my son to make the best progress he can. He has and is going through some challenges at the moment (terrible two's!) and is gaining structure and boundaries through a collaborative approach at home and at nursery. Faye has been very supportive to me in regards to his terrible two's behaviour and has given me advice, so between us we have ensured that he has the same "rules" and he has consistency.

I am particularly grateful for the flexibility of the nursery. If I have ever needed extra sessions or days the nursery have managed to accommodate this for me. I am aware a lot of nurseries are not as accommodating and I feel lucky to have such a flexible nursery thankyou Sue!

My son is a great eater and the menu is varied and well planned. I always know what Toby has eaten and how well he's eaten, on the odd occasion where he hasn't liked something an alternative has been offered.

Outdoor play and external visits are regular, well planned and educational and always enjoyed by my son who loves being outside.

Finally, my child is happy, he feels safe and is coming on leaps and bounds and there are plenty of opportunities for me to discuss his progress and I would recommend this nursery to anyone.
